Year 4 of Blogging

 

What a crazy year it has been! This past year has been one of the best year of my entire life. We became a family of four, I changed jobs and we took some amazing trips! I am so thankful for this past year and to be able to watch my kids grow. 

April 2024 

Technically at the end of March- but I'm counting it as basically April- we welcomed our second child and officially began our "2 under 2" era. April was a crazy month of sleep deprivation and adjusting to having two kids. We did still go to the tulip festival. 

May 2024 

May was a tough month for us still adjusting to two kids and our biggest helpers- my parents- went home. My toddler got his first hair cut, we celebrated mother's day with two and we took our baby to Mt. Rainier National Park for our first hike postpartum. 

June 2024 

June was pretty busy for us. We took our first major trip as a family of four. We flew to Maryland and spent two weeks with family. We also travelled to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. We also celebrated Father's Day with two kids and my husbands birthday. 

July 2024 

July was so much fun for us! We had a fun 4th of July and travelled to Sunrise at Mt Rainier for the first time. We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary and our toddler turned 2! We travelled to Victoria, Canada and my parents came into town and we made a quick trip to Leavenworth. 

August 2024 

July was so busy for us that we took it slow in August. We worked on a bunch of home projects, saw some friends and enjoyed being a family of 4. 

September 2024 

September was also a big month for us. My husbands parents were in town so we went to Mt. Rainier (again) and took a ride on a steam train. We also spent a few days in Cannon Beach Oregon with friends. 

October 2024 

October was a time of big change for us. I started a new job and that meant a big change in our routine. It took a little bit to get settled in but we got our rhythm. We also had fun at pumpkin patches and going trick or treating 

November 2024 

We went to Cabo with my parents in November. It was so nice to relax on the beach. We also had a "friendsgiving" and then a quiet thanksgiving with just our family 

December 2024

This Christmas season was so fun for us! Our 2 year old loved learning about Santa, looking at the lights and celebrating christmas. My parents and brother came into town and we had so much fun together. 

January 2025

January was a slower month for us but we took the time to re-set ourselves for the upcoming year. It was less rainy than it has been in years past so we tried to take advantage of it with friends. 

February 2025

In February we had some snow come to the PNW. We also had our first solo trip since becoming parents. We spent a few days in Hood River, Oregon exploring the Columbia River Gorge. We also did a fun little day hike on the Puget Sound. 

March 2024

March we spent preparing our yard for Spring. At the end of the month we travelled to South Carolina and met up with family at the beach for a week. We also celebrated our little baby's first birthday.
